PARAMOUNT MAKES AN OFFER BRANDO CAN'T REFUSE : "THE GODFATHER" VIDEO GAME
Electronic Arts' "THE GODFATHER" video game will be based on director Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 Paramount film and
the original novel by author Mario Puzo.
The new game will enable a 'virtual' Brando to reprise his Oscar-winning role
as 'Don Vito (Andolini) Corleone'.
EA acquired rights to use Brando's likeness for the game prior to the actor's death
and its license includes the rights to 'extend' storylines, similar to its deal with Warners "Harry Potter" franchise.
EA
have also secured rights to composer Nino Rota's soundtrack from the film.
"THE GODFATHER" video game is scheduled
to ship Fall 2005.
